At EngEPA, we are committed to the future of apprentices across the Engineering and the Manufacturing sectors. As such, we are proud to be working in partnership with WorldSkills UK in piloting the crossover of end-point assessments with their competition methodology and designing schemes that map competition briefs to on-programme assessment methods that can be supported by employers and closely aligned to employers’ business needs. This will allow apprentices to demonstrate the knowledge and skills level required for particular standards but also the behaviours expected within the workplace, in accordance with the values of the employer and industry. 

As a leading EPAO, we are also working hand-in-hand with employers to put in place training plans that work for both the apprenticeship and the competition and are at the forefront of designing programmes that incorporate observed, practical assessment for a group of apprentices being assessed simultaneously, a method commonly used in competitions, which could be of benefit in apprenticeship end-point assessment.
